Its just not about cricket ...

I have never been addicted to cricket . Sitting immobile in front of a dumb box for a day irks me to no end. The wastage of time and effort on high profile players who appear to know whats best for you regarding everything from soap to oil to life insurance irritates me . i would never buy a product endorsed by any celebrity unless i see something good in it .

Yeah its true to say that I have snubbed cricket for my entire life ...till yesterday .Yesterday , I remained glued to the scores till the final moment . and then when the numbers got sealed for eternity ,I danced,shouted ,clapped and sang wildly with joy like any other die hard cricket fan .

Coz ,this time it was different.Yesterday it just was not about cricket anymore . It was about restoring a nation's pride .

As Indians we have been taught the lessons of humility from the day we could understand the language . And we have fulfilled the dictums of our parents .To forgive and forget ...
All, that done something still remains .... that we come from a lineage which taught the world the first lessons of humanity . An intelligent,industrious and valourous race ...with more achievements to its credit than we have boasted about.

We dont talk ...we just prove the point through our actions .

Thats what it was all about .That was the message which shone on the face of every Indian , when we danced to our victory yesterday .

Its just not about cricket guys , Its about being an Indian ...Its about getting back what we deserve . Its about getting back the glory which has been there in us right from the time of Mohen-Jo-Daro and Harappa ...

Its just about being an INDIAN .

Starting off..

This is my first blog . And i dont know how to write. So anybody reading this do bear with my shortcomings . Well, i could use some advice on how to manage my blogging .
Just that I wanted to write . Anybody who loves to write will know how bad is the urge to write down your thoughts . Somewhere....

I would have tried pen and paper but for the fact that in this fast paced life i find little time to bring pen, paper and my thoughts together , all at the same time .
